Jalandhar May 7 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Bringing distinction to PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, four NCC cadets have been conferred the prestigious DG NCC Cadet Welfare Scholarship, awarded by the Directorate General, NCC, New Delhi.
Each cadet received a scholarship of ₹6,000 in recognition of their exemplary performance in both academics and NCC activities.
The scholarships were presented by Colonel R.S. Lehal, Commanding Officer, 2 Punjab Girls Battalion NCC. The recipients include Under Officer Himani Mathpal, Sergeant Madhu, Lance Corporal Manisha, and Cadet Anshu, all of whom were selected for their consistent dedication, discipline, and commendable achievements.
The DG NCC Cadet Welfare Scholarship is instituted annually to acknowledge and encourage deserving cadets across the country who successfully maintain a fine balance between academic excellence and active participation in NCC training.
Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar extended her heartfelt congratulations to ANO Captain Priya Mahajan and the awardees. She reiterated the institution’s commitment to fostering holistic development, emphasizing that students are continually encouraged to excel not only in academics but also in co-curricular and extracurricular domains.
President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Dr Pooja Prashar commended the students on their remarkable feat and the faculty members who remain steadfast in supporting students engaging in diverse activities, ensuring that their academic progress goes hand in hand with overall personality development.
