Jalandhar March 14 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Convocation-2024 was organized at Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus for the Award of degrees of Engineering, Management and IT students. Dr.R.S Deol, Director LKCTC) welcomed the chief guest, members of Governing Council, invited dignitaries, recipients of degrees and guests from media.
The Dignitaries present were Sardarni Balbir Kaur (President, Governing Council, Prof./Dr. Susheel Kumar Mittal (VC, IKGPTU), S.Jaspal Singh Waraich (Joint Secretary), Dr. R.K. Gupta (VC, Maharaja Agrasen University, Solan, HP), Dr.Balkar Singh (Director, College Management-IKGPTU), Dr. Ekonkar Singh Johal (Dy. Registrar IKGPTU), S. Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director, Academic Affairs KCL Group and Dr.R.S.Deol (Director LKCTC).
Institute’s Report was presented by the Dr. R.S. Deol (Director LKCTC). He stated that our vision is to be a vibrant and innovative center of education, research, executive training and consultancy in technical education; to develop a cadre of socially responsive technocrats, entrepreneurs and professionals, thereby fulfilling the contemporary needs of the industry, business, government and the community at large, both locally and nationally. He further added that the institute is having a very brilliant record in academics. Many students of the campus have bagged top Merit Positions in the Examinations conducted by IKG-PTU. These students have also been honored by the Institute and also given scholarships to encourage them.
Then after Dr.R.S.Deol (Director LKCTC) Declared the Convocation open.
Chief guest of the day Sh. Susheel Mittal (VC, IKGPTU) gave the Convocation Address. He stated that the Khalsa College Lyallpur Education Charitable Trust has a glorious past (of more than 100 years) in the service to the society especially in the field of education. The trust under the leadership of Sardarni Balbir Kaur along with support of other distinguished members is successfully running a number of multi-disciplinary educational institutions with strength of nearly ten thousand students in the areas ranging from Arts, Science, Law, Education & Literature to Management & IT.
As, the technical knowledge is the need of the society, only the institutions with competence will be able to survive these turbulent times. I am confident that the way Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus has provided quality education to their students, supported with state-of-the-art infrastructure and endeavored towards networking with the industry has simply made the Institute emerge as one of the premier institute of the region.
A total of 400 Degrees were presented to the students of School of Engineering, School of Management & School of IT.
At the end, Mr. Kapil Kanwar (Principal, School of Pharmacy) presented vote of Thanks. He congratulated all the graduating students who worked hard and have successfully completed their degrees.
After the successful completion of Convocation, ALUMINI MEET was organized in which alumini of the institutes interacted with each other & with the current Engineering Students. Alumini of the institute guided their juniors for the strong academia & efforts to be put on for good placements. Then a cultural program for the alumini took place. At the end vote of thanks was presented by DEAN Alumini Dr. Pooja Dhand giving the best wishes to the alumini of School of Engineering & the current students.
