Jalandhar August 19 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- It is a matter of immense pride for PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, as Captain Priya Mahajan, the Associate NCC Officer (ANO) of the college’s Army Wing, has brought laurels to the institution. Captain Priya Mahajan participated in the Refresher Course SW-66 held at the Officer Training Academy in Gwalior and was adjudged the Best ANO among 124 participating NCC Officers from across the country. She secured a Gold Medal and a Certificate of Excellence for standing first in the Order of Merit.
Captain Mahajan also won three other Certificates of Excellence for her outstanding performance in Commandant Yoga IP, Lecture IP, and Map Reading Skills. Various other competitions were held during the course, where Captain Mahajan’s excellence was consistently recognized, earning her multiple accolades. Her team secured first place in the Exercise Darshan and Flag Area competition of Exercise Shakti.
Principal Dr. Prof. Pooja Prashar expressed her pride in Captain Mahajan’s achievements, noting that it is a significant honor for the college. Captain Mahajan’s dedication and exemplary performance have further solidified the college’s reputation.
Notably, Captain Priya Mahajan has a distinguished record, having stood first in the Pre-Commission Course SW-77 in 2006, where she was awarded the Director General’s Plaque of Honor.

In recognition of her outstanding performance at the Refresher Course, Captain Priya Mahajan was honored by Group Commander Brigadier Ajay Tiwari at Jalandhar NCC Group Headquarters. This course saw the participation of 124 Associate NCC Officers, including Girls Cadet Instructors, from across the country.
Moreover, PCM S.D. College for Women boasts 105 active NCC cadets who have consistently excelled in various fields under Captain Mahajan’s leadership.
President Shri Naresh Bhudia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other honorable members of the Management Committee, and the worthy Principal Dr. Prof. Pooja Prashar lauded Captain Mahajan’s achievements and congratulated her on bringing such accolades to the institution.
