Jalandhar March 12 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organised a series of engaging competitions under the theme “Laughs and Likes” for students across all departments of the college. The initiative aimed to encourage creativity, confidence, and innovative expression among students.
A variety of competitions including Reel Making, Personality Reflection Mimicry, Open Mic, and Ad Mad Show were conducted as part of the event. Students enthusiastically participated and showcased their talent through humour, creativity, and impactful communication.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, while sharing her views on the occasion, remarked that creativity and communication are the defining skills of the digital era. She stated that platforms like ‘Laughs and Likes’ encourage students to transform their ideas into engaging content while learning the art of expression. She further added that Apeejay College of Fine Arts consistently strives to create an environment where talent, innovation, and confidence flourish beyond the boundaries of textbooks, enabling students to grow into expressive and socially aware individuals.
The competitions were judged by Ms. Garima Arora (Commerce and Management) for the Ad Mad Show, Mr. Ankit Goyal (Multimedia) for the Reel Making competition, and Mr. Mohit Rubal (Journalism and Mass Communication) for the Personality Reflection Mimicry event.
The winning participants were honoured with certificates in recognition of their outstanding performances.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra appreciated the dedicated efforts of Dr. Nivedita Khosla, Ms. Ritu Sohi, and Mr. Mohit Rubal from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication for successfully organising the event. She also encouraged the department to continue conducting such innovative activities in the future to foster creativity and holistic development among students.
