Jalandhar April 25 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar proudly organised its 51st Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony, celebrating excellence across academics, co-curricular, and extracurricular domains. A total of 275 students were felicitated for their outstanding achievements in various categories.

The ceremony was organized under the esteemed patronage of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group and Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University. The event was graced by Ms. Garima Singh (IRS), Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Delhi, as the Chief Guest and was presided over by Mr. Dinesh Rai (Retd. IAS), Chairman, Alliance of MSMEs.

Welcoming the distinguished guests, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressed her admiration for the Chief Guest, describing her as a dynamic and inspiring personality whose presence infused the students with renewed enthusiasm. She also appreciated Mr. Dinesh Rai for his exemplary service and efforts to bridge the gap between governance and society.

Extending her greetings to Dr. Neha Berlia, who joined virtually, Dr. Dhingra acknowledged her visionary leadership and innovative approach in strengthening the Apeejay institutions. She also warmly welcomed Dr. Sucharita Sharma, Director, Apeejay Education; Mr. Mithilesh Singh, OSD to Madam Chairman, Apeejay Education; and Mr. Nirmal Mahajan, Member, BOG, Apeejay Education.

Presenting the Annual Report, Dr. Dhingra highlighted the institution’s remarkable accomplishments in academics, cultural activities, and sports, reaffirming its position among the leading educational institutions in North India.

In her special address, Dr. Neha Berlia congratulated the awardees and emphasized that true success lies not merely in receiving accolades but in sustaining dedication, humility, and a sense of social harmony. She paid tribute to the visionary ideals of the founder, Dr. Stya Paul, and reiterated the institution’s commitment to value-based education.

The event featured captivating cultural performances, including a classical dance presentation based on Shiv Stuti and Krishna-centric Thumri, which left the audience spellbound. A short film depicting the inspiring journey of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia was also showcased.

During the award distribution, 144 students who secured top university and college positions were honoured with medals, certificates, and cash prizes. Additionally, 131 students were recognised for excellence in Youth Festivals, sports, IT Forum, MEK Forum, SWA, and NSS activities.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Ms. Garima Singh (IRS) shared insightful reflections, encouraging students to pursue their chosen paths with integrity, dedication, and commitment. She also inspired teachers to act as role models and urged parents to contribute towards a cleaner and more harmonious environment.

Mr. Dinesh Rai lauded the institution for its commitment to value-based education and holistic development, appreciating the harmonious integration of intellect, creativity, and character.

The event concluded on a vibrant note with enthralling musical performances by the students. The guests were honoured with mementoes as a token of gratitude.

The event was efficiently anchored by Ms. Rajni Kumar and Ms. Jaspreet Kaur.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra extended heartfelt appreciation to the cultural coordinators and organising team for their dedicated efforts in making the event a grand success.
