Jalandhar May 11 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- A Valedictory Ceremony of Skill Enhancement Classes was organized at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. The college had organized various classes in different courses for the students of 12th Standard.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra addressing the students, said, ” ACFA always work and moves forward on the path of progress by preserving its cultural heritage while taking inspiration from the vision of its Founder President Dr. Stya Paul Ji and the leadership and farsightedness of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education and Apeejay Stya & Svrna Group and Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University.” She congratulated the students for using their time productively and joining these classes and learning a skill that will surely help them in future.
The sudents pursuing Design and Fine Arts classes displayed their own products like portraits, cushion covers, tie and dye, block printing, printing kurtas, attractive earrings, decorative lamp shades and other home decor products, shades and other home decor products. Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra and the faculty appreciated the efforts of the students in this exhibition.
Students – Mannat, Nishita and Anupama of Skill Enhancement Classes of Kathak and Contemporary Dance, gave a soulful presentation of Ganesh Stuti and a very beautiful presentation of the technical aspects of Kathak – Tihai, Toda, Parana and Krishna, Kavitta. The students of Recognize Singer in You – Diya, Shruti Sharma, Shrestha Suri and Sukhraj made the audience through their songs.
These classes were enhancing and full of positive energy of the college
Also, the students of Contemporary form of Dance, mesmerized everyone with their presentation through fusion of two or three songs. Students of other Skill Enhancement classes – Amber, Vineet Roop, Gurleen, Anahad and Privya while sharing their experience said that these classes were enhancing and full of positive energy of the college and affection and cooperation of the teachers has shaped their personality and boost their confidence with which they are ready to move forward.
Ms Rajni Kumar from Department of Design introduced the students with the achievements of the college and said that along with education, this college is successful in maintaining its foremost position in cultural activities and sports and will maintain its top position in the future also.
Pahul, Sharmistha and Dakshita – students of Stage Anchoring of SEC Classes made an important contribution in making the programme successful by conducting the stage in excellent manner. Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra honoured the students by giving them certificates and acknowledged the efforts of Dr. Seema Sharma and Ms. Rajni Gupta for the success of the programme.
