Jalandhar November 24 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- On the occasion of “World Ozone Day “, Department of Chemistry of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar organized PPT and Poster Presentation on the topic ‘Preservation of Ozone layer’. It was organized to create awareness among students for the protection of Ozone layer. Blossom from B.Sc (Non-medical) Semester I bagged first position. Kalpana of BSc (Computer Science) Semester I and Ritika of BSc (Computer Science) Semester V both got second positions and Aradhna of B.Sc (Non-medical) Semester III made it to third position in Powerpoint Presentation Competition. In Poster presentation, Jasleen Kaur from B.Sc (Non-Medical) Semester I got first position.
Nisha and Ziya from B.Sc (Non-Medical) Semester got second and third positions respectively The objective was to foster awareness, creativity and advocacy for ozone protection while honing participants’ presentation skills in conveying complex environmental issues to a broader audience. President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar felicitating the endeavours of the department for organising such an activity in environmental interest.
