Jalandhar March 24 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organized various SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) activities in collaboration with the District Election Commission, Jalandhar, to raise awareness among students about their voting rights.
Dr. Neerja Dhingra, the principal, emphasized the importance of educating students not only academically, culturally, and in sports but also about their social responsibilities, thus enabling them to contribute to the nation’s welfare as responsible citizens.
On the first day, under the guidance of Dr. Rekha, Nodal Officer and Dr. Simkee, Dean, NSS Wing, a permanent help desk was set up to help students understand the significance of voter ID card registration and voting.

On the third day, posters with the theme ‘My Vote, My Right’ were created by college students. On the fourth day, selfie points were set up across the college premises to raise awareness about the importance of voting.
Empowering students with knowledge and responsibility, Apeejay College’s voter awareness campaign ignited a passion for active citizenship and democratic participation.
