Jalandhar January 29 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- To acknowledge the efforts of the students and to give a pat on their back to continue their quest for excellence, Achievers’ Day 2023-24 was organized in HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School under the virtuoso guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The event commenced with an invocation to the Almighty by kindling the lamp of knowledge and wisdom.
The Principal Dr. Sareen and school coordinator Dr. Seema Marwaha, coordinator of the event Mrs. Arvinder Kaur Beri extended green welcome to the Guests of Eminence Smt. Gurinderjit Kaur, Principal Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Nehru Garden, Sr. Sunil Sharma, Principal Shishu Model School, Bholath, Smt. Rajinder kaur, Vice – Principal Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Nehru Garden were welcomed with planters, mementoes and gifts made by Fine Arts Dept.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the students for their achievements and inspired them to keep soaring high for the attainment of their goals and emphasized that best is yet to come as working on our own selves is a continuous process to become competent citizen of the global world. Thereafter, School Coordinator Dr. Seema Marwaha presented Annual Report 2023-24, throwing light on academics, Co-curricular, sports, various activities organized for holistic development of students and future commitments towards quality education to the budding minds. Hon’ble Guest of Eminence Smt. Gurjinderjit Kaur congratulated HMV for maintaining the rich legacy in Sports by winning Sports Overfall trophy for since last 23 years.
Sh. Sunil Sharma exhorted students to work hard and be disciplined in life
In her address, she advised the students to adopt right approach towards life, to become environmentally and socially conscious and most importantly, she emphasized that competition is to be taken in right spirit and make every day an achievers day of life. She also congratulated the winners by saying that values are the best ornament and wished them success in future. On this occasion, Sh. Sunil Sharma exhorted students to work hard and be disciplined in life.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, School Coordinator Dr. Seema Marwaha, Coordinator of the event Mrs. Arvinder Kaur along with the dignitaries felicitated the achievers with trophies and certificates. Around 200 students were awarded with prizes for their remarkable achievements in academics and co-curricular activities. Certificates were also given away to to 11 class representatives, 13 members of task force and 07 office bearers namely head girl, joint head girls and assistant head girls.
The Student of the Year award was bestowed to Shrishti Jain and the Player of the Year award to Raveena for their remarkable performance at every aspect. The students felt elated for being honoured by the eminent guests. Vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Arvinder Kaur. The event ended with recital of national anthem. Stage was conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia. On this occasion, all the faculty members of Collegiate School were present.
