Jalandhar October 21 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- An industrial visit was organized for the B.Voc (Cosmetology) Semester-III students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, to Tanveer Unisex Salon, Model Town, Jalandhar, with the aim of providing them with practical experience in the professional hair and beauty industry. This visit focused on hair cutting and styling techniques, providing students with the opportunity to observe and learn directly from experienced salon professionals. During this industrial visit, the students were introduced to various professional hair-cutting techniques, sectioning methods, blow-drying, hairstyling, finishing techniques, and the proper use of salon tools. Salon experts also provided information on current trends being adopted in the fashion world, as well as professional techniques.
This industrial visit not only provided the students with valuable practical knowledge—helping them understand the importance of precision, creativity, hygiene, client consultation, and professional conduct in salon services—but also served to bridge the gap between theoretical classroom knowledge and the practical requirements of the industry.
Sharing her thoughts on this visit, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra stated that such industrial visits should take place regularly so that students can gain practical knowledge of the fashion industry. She stated that she is confident that this industrial visit has been a rich, educational experience—one that has undoubtedly boosted the students’ self-confidence and practical skills in hair cutting and styling. Dr. Dhingra highly commended the efforts of Ms. Meenal Sandhu, faculty member in the Fashion Makeover department, for the successful organization of this visit.
