Jalandhar October 1 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Innocent Hearts Group celebrated the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri across all five school campuses—Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt.-Jandiala Road, Noorpur Road, and Kapurthala Road—and its college with great zeal and devotion.
Students from the Pre-Primary and Primary wings actively participated in a wide array of activities. Young learners came dressed as Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri to pay homage, offering floral garlands to portraits of both national icons. Children were introduced to Gandhi Ji’s inspiring journey through interactive storytelling sessions and audio-visual presentations.
Emphasizing Gandhi Ji’s ideal of Swachhata (cleanliness), senior students participated in a campus cleanliness drive, while students took a collective Swachhata Pledge to uphold truth, non-violence, and hygiene.Adding to the celebrations, the NSS unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education promoted ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ through an impactful street play enacted by volunteers Kavita Giri, Mansha Vij, Ekta, and Shikha Kapoor. Student-teachers also conducted poster-making sessions on Gandhi Ji’s teachings and delivered assembly talks on Solid Waste Management Rules under the theme “Swachhata Mein Sahbhag, Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat.”
