Jalandhar September 28 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Department of History of PCM S.D. College for Women Organised an Essay Writing Competition to commemorate the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, the legendary freedom fighter and revolutionary. The competition aimed to familiarise students with the life, ideals, patriotism and invaluable contributions of Shaheed Bhagat Singh to India’s freedom struggle. It provided a platform for students to express their thoughts, enhance their writing skills and develop a deeper understanding of India’s revolutionary history.
The participants enthusiastically showcased their knowledge and writing abilities while paying tribute to the great revolutionary. The activity also encouraged students to reflect on the values of courage, sacrifice and patriotism exemplified by Shaheed Bhagat Singh. The event was organised by Mrs. Kawaljit Kaur and Dr. Renu Bala, who motivated students to actively participate and develop an appreciation of India’s rich historical heritage.
President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar felicitated the department for holding an activity on the topic that made us connected to our national and patriotic legacy.
