Jalandhar September 19 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- P.G Department of Political Science celebrated International Day on Democracy. On this occasion department has organised an Essay writing, Slogan Writing and Poster making competition. In this event 17 students participated in Essay writing Competition and 20 in Poster making and Slogan Writing Competition. Students gave their exemplary performance in this competition. It encouraged the youth to acknowledged their role as future creators, granting them the opportunity to voice their vision for the world they want to build. Special thanks to Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu for gracing the event with their esteemed presence and also discussed the achievements of democracy. He suggested the students to make their life qualitative and worth-living.
Prof. Sonia performed the duty of judgement in Poster making and Slogan writing competition. Himanshu from B.A 1st sem and Sneha from B.A 3rd sem got 1st position, Komal from M.A Economics 3rdsem got 2ndposition and Nazia Khatoon from B.A 1st sem got 3rdposition in Poster Making Competition .In Slogan Writing Competition Simran Kaur from M.A Political Science 1st sem got 1st Position ,Kundan kumar from M.A poltical science 1st sem and Komal kaur from M.A Economics got 2nd Position and Romin Sohpal from B.A 1st sem got 3rd Position in Slogan Writing Competition.
Prof. Sanjay Shad and Prof. Livpreet performed the duty of judgement in Essay Writing Competition. In Essay Writing Competition Eesha from B.A 1stsem got 1st position, Nitika and Harmanpreet kaur from M.A Political Science 1st sem got 2nd position and Khushi Kumari from M.A Political Science 1st sem. got 3rd position. Dr. Anu Kumari (HOD ) thanked Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu other faculty members, as well as the audience and also highlighted the vision and views of Democracy.
