Jalandhar September 19 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, hosted “Shubh Aarambh-2026,” a vibrant Freshers’ Party to welcome students of UG and PG Semester-I classes. The event was organized under the able guidance of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla. Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and was warmly welcomed with a green planter. Dr. Jyoti Gogia, Event’s Coordinator and In-charge, extended a cordial welcome to the gathering. Addressing the students, Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla motivated them to pursue academic excellence while making active use of opportunities in co-curricular activities and sports. She stressed the importance of using social media responsibly and encouraged students to nurture strong values, integrity, discipline, and a sense of social responsibility.
Dr. Khosla further highlighted the important role of the youth in contributing to the development and progress of the nation. The celebration was marked by a colorful array of cultural performances, including singing, dancing, modelling, and other entertaining presentations by the students. The modelling round added a special attraction to the event, with students being honored with various titles. Japnoor was crowned as Miss Fresher, while Khushpreet Kaur and Srishti were declared the First and Second Runner-Up, respectively. Tanvi earned the title of Miss Charisma, while Saajia was honored as Ramp Diva.
Diya was selected as Miss Confident, and Ridhima received the title of Miss Radiance. Baljeet Kaur, Khushdeep, and Furlin were awarded the titles of Style Icon, Miss Graceful, and Cultural Grace, respectively. Dr. Saloni Sharma, Dr. Sangeeta Arora, Mrs. Protima Mander, and Mrs. Shifali Kashyap served as the judges and evaluated the participants. The event was organized under the supervision of Dr. Jyoti Gogia and Mrs. Purnima. Dr. Urvashi, Dean, Student Council, delievered the vote of thanks and expressed sincere appreciation to Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla, faculty members, non-teaching and support staff, the technical team, and the students for their wholehearted cooperation in making the event a success.
