Jalandhar September 1 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar celebrated National Sports Day under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla with zeal and full of gusto. The programme was organized to mark the birth anniversary of the legendary Indian hockey player, Major Dhyan Chand, and to honour his outstanding contribution to the Indian sports. Students of the Sports Department, along with NSS volunteers, actively participated in the celebration and paid tribute to the hockey icon.
The programme emphasized the significance of sports, discipline, teamwork, and physical fitness in the holistic development of students. The event was held by Sports Incharge Dr. Sushil and Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur. The NSS Incharges, mrs. Jyoti Gogia, ms. Harmanu paul, and ms. Deepika also extended their support and encouraged students to take an active participation in sports and social activities. The celebration inspired the students to imbibe the qualities of dedication, determination, discipline, and sportsmanship that Major Dhyan Chand exemplified throughout his life.
