PCM S.D. College for Women Organises Drug Abuse Awareness Programme

Jalandhar August 21 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Buddy Group, in collaboration with the Sexual Harassment Cell, organised a Drug Abuse Awareness Programme in association with Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jalandhar to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy, drug-free life.

The programme was graced by Head Sister Rekha, Sister Shivani, Sister Asha and Bhaiji Sukhdev from Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya. Sister Shivani, Head Sister Rekha and Bhaiji Sukhdev addressed the students and highlighted the harmful physical, mental and social consequences of drug abuse. They encouraged students to stay away from drugs and adopt positive, healthy and responsible habits.

The programme concluded with the Drug-Free India Pledge, in which the students collectively pledged to contribute towards building a drug-free society. The programme served as an important initiative to sensitise students and inspire them to make responsible choices for a healthier future.

President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, the other honourable members of the Managing Committee and the worthy Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar lauded the initiative and appreciated the efforts of the organisers in spreading awareness among students about the ill effects of drug abuse and promoting a healthy, drug-free society.
