Jalandhar August 19 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- On the occasion of World Photography Day, the PG Department of Mass Communication and Video Production of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, organised a workshop on Pre-Wedding Photography to provide students with practical exposure and professional insights into the creative field of photography. The resource person for the workshop, Mr. Suraj Raj Dogra, was warmly welcomed by Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, who presented him with a planter as a gesture of welcome and goodwill.
Mr. Dogra shared his expertise and experience with the students and provided valuable insights into various aspects of pre-wedding photography, including concept development, location selection, lighting, composition, camera techniques, posing, and visual storytelling. Through practical demonstrations and an interactive session, students gained a better understanding of professional photography techniques and creative approaches. Dr. Rama Sharma, Head of the Department of Mass Communication and Video Production, said, “Photography is not merely about capturing an image; it is about preserving emotions, relationships and stories through a creative visual language.
Such workshops provide students with valuable hands-on exposure and help them connect classroom learning with professional practices. Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla appreciated the department’s initiative and encouraged students to make the most of such experiential learning opportunities. She emphasised the importance of practical exposure in developing professional skills and preparing students for careers in the media and communication industry. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively interacted with the resource person and gained insights into contemporary photography trends, techniques, and career opportunities. The stage proceedings were efficiently anchored by Mrs. Jyoti Sehgal, Ms. Saakshi Badola was also present on the occasion.
