Eco Club of PCM S.D. College for Women organises “Eco Spark Innovation Fest”

Jalandhar May 23 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- An Innovative “Eco Spark Innovation Fest” activity was organized by PCM S.D. College for Women to promote creativity, environmental awareness, and the importance of recycling waste materials. The event successfully raised awareness about sustainable energy solutions supported by Mission LiFE & Environment Education Programme of Ministry of environment, forest, and climate change (MoEF & CC), Government of India and the State Nodal Agency, Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, under the able guidance of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Students enthusiastically participated in the activity and prepared useful as well as decorative items using discarded materials such as plastic bottles, newspapers, cardboard, old CDs, and waste paper.

The activity aimed to encourage students to reduce waste and develop eco-friendly habits through creative learning. Participants displayed excellent artistic skills and presented various attractive models, flower pots, pen stands, wall hangings, and decorative crafts made from reusable materials.

The event created awareness about waste management and inspired students to think sustainably. The judges appreciated the creativity, usefulness, and presentation of the models. The activity concluded successfully with active participation and a strong message of environmental conservation.

President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the Managing Committee, and the worthy Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar appreciated the efforts of the organizers and applauded such awareness programmes for educating students about sustainable living and environmental responsibility.
