Jalandhar May 22 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Eco Club, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Club, organized an awareness session on “E-Waste Awareness and Recycling” at PCM S.D. Collegiate Senior Secondary Girls School, Jalandhar, to spread awareness about the responsible disposal and recycling of electronic waste.
The session began with a warm welcome address highlighting the growing dependence on electronic devices in today’s digital world and the urgent need for proper e-waste management to protect the environment and human health.
The keynote speaker for the session was Mr. Bipan Suman, who is actively associated with PAHAL NGO as a Project Manager under the E-Waste Awareness Project.
During the session, Mr. Suman explained the harmful effects of electronic waste on the environment and human health. He encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly habits such as reducing electronic waste, repairing and reusing devices, and ensuring the proper recycling of discarded electronics. He also motivated students to become active participants in environmental protection initiatives.
President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, the members of the Managing Committee, and the worthy Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar appreciated the efforts of the organizers and praised such awareness programmes for educating students about sustainable living and environmental responsibility.
