Jalandhar May 1 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organized a vibrant and memorable farewell ceremony to bid adieu to its outgoing students with warmth and elegance. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra as the Chief Guest.
The ceremony commenced with a gracious welcome by Diya Talwar (BFA Semester VI) and Jia (BBA Semester IV), who acknowledged Dr. Dhingra’s inspiring and dynamic presence. Head Boy Akshat Sharma and Head Girl Yuvika presented a fragrant bouquet as a mark of respect.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra delivered a thoughtful and inspiring message. She described farewells as meaningful transitions where memories and aspirations coexist. She emphasized that the education imparted at Apeejay extends beyond academics, shaping character, creativity, and resilience. In her distinctive words, she noted that “the true measure of success lies not only in achievements, but in the values you carry forward—integrity, empathy, and the courage to grow through every new beginning.” She encouraged students to embrace the future with confidence and purpose, and to uphold the legacy of the institution.
The cultural segment added vibrancy to the event. Students including Taranpreet Singh, Pratham, Shivam, Vishnu, Mannat, Dilpreet, Saanjh, Reet, and Lakshmi captivated the audience with an energetic Bhangra performance. Rahul and Daud Gill further enthralled everyone with their melodious singing.
In their farewell address, Akshat Sharma and Yuvika expressed heartfelt gratitude towards their mentors and shared that the values of discipline, humility, and perseverance learned at the college would continue to guide them in life.
The highlight of the event was the modeling segment
The highlight of the event was the modeling segment, following which Ms. Parmeet Kaur was conferred as Miss Apeejay and Kunwar Armaan as Mr. Apeejay. Pearl was given the title of Miss Elegant and Ribhav Batra got the title of Mr. Handsome. The best dressed students were Krishna (Boys) and Diya Ahuja (Girls). Yuvika won the title of Best Ramp Walk, and Jasnoor got the title of Miss Cynosure.
The winners were crowned and felicitated with sashes and gifts by Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Dr. Simkee Dev, and Ms. Garima Arora.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Mannat (BCA Semester IV) and Durvish (BBA Semester IV), who expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to organize the farewell for their seniors and pledged to carry forward the values and inspiration gained from them.
The recipients of the titles Miss Apeejay and Mr. Apeejay expressed their joy and gratitude, stating that the college has not only nurtured their talents but also given wings to their dreams—an experience they will cherish for a lifetime.
