Jalandhar April 18 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, under the joint aegis of the Red Cross Society and Red Ribbon Club, organized an impactful awareness talk on the theme “Women’s Health, Hygiene and HIV/AIDS Awareness” under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla. The program was graced by Dr. Seema Pasricha, President, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society, Jalandhar, as the Chief Guest. The event commenced with a warm welcome by Mrs. Deepshikha, Advisor, Red Cross Society, who felicitated the Chief Guest with a green planter and a memento as per the college tradition. She appreciated Dr. Pasricha’s vast experience and described her as a source of inspiration for the students.

Principal, Dr. Ekta Khosla congratulated the organising team including Mrs. Deepshikha (Advisor, Red Cross Society), Ms. Pawan Kumari (Incharge), and Dr. Deepali (Incharge, Red Ribbon Club), for their commendable efforts. She emphasized that awareness regarding women’s health is the need of the hour. She highlighted that such initiatives not only sensitize students about physical well-being but also empower them to become responsible and informed citizens.

Dr. Seema Pasricha shared valuable insights into women’s health, hygiene, and HIV/AIDS. She encouraged students to adopt healthy lifestyles, maintain proper hygiene, and undergo regular health check-ups. She also dispelled common myths surrounding HIV/AIDS and enlightened the students with scientific facts, promoting awareness and understanding. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks presented by Dr. Deepali. The program was also attended by Mr. Sumit Kumar and Dr. Vandana Thakur from the Red Cross Society, along with Dr. Sandeep Kaur from the Red Ribbon Club.
