Jalandhar March 16 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar provides ample opportunities to its staff and students to participate in social service and awareness programs at district, state and national level. Different social cause clubs and units of the college contribute significantly in spreading awareness regarding many social issues. Recently, Red Ribbon Club of the college was felicitated as one of the best Red Ribbon Clubs at State Level Program organized by Directorate Youth Services, Punjab at Chandigarh.
Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu congratulated Prof. Satpal Singh, coordinator of Red Ribbon Club, LKC for this achievement. He informed that this is the second time that college RRC has achieved this feat. He added that glory comes when hard work and persistent efforts are done selflessly. He opined that these state level recognition programs motivate the teachers and staff to work with more zeal and zest.
Prof. Satpal Singh informed that Red Ribbon club organizes various awareness programs pertaining to HIV AIDS, blood donation, cleanliness etc. He informed that volunteer Gurwinder Kaur was also felicitated at state level as one of the best peers of Punjab. He thanked President, College Governing Council, Principal, Assistant Director Jalandhar Mr. Ravi Dara and Directorate Youth Services Punjab for their continuous guidance and opportunities provided.
