Jalandhar March 14 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The two day Annual Convention-cum Workshop on “Quantum to AI: Scientific Roadmap to Viksit Bharat@2047” under the aegis of Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT RC-02) successfully concluded at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar. The second day had Dr. Jaswinder Singh (President IAPT, RC-02) as coordinator of the day. Experimental Session-I had Prof. Y.K. Vijay (FRSC, Director CIST, IIS, Jaipur), Prof. Hemant Kumar (Retd. Director, SCERT, HP) as resource person. The innovative experiments of Physics were demonstrated during this workshop. Prof. Hemant Kumar showed experiments explaining basic phenomenas of Physics such as diffraction of Light & concept of Atomic Pressure etc.

Prof. Y.K. Yadav demonstrated Raman Scattering and explained how the light passing through liquid changes colour in medium. He also demonstrated atomic arrangements and defects in solids and many more experiment to satisfy the curiosity of the students. Experimental Session II had Dr. B.S. Sidhu (Physicist) and Dr. Jaswinder Singh (Jaswin Lab on Wheels) as resource persons. Dr. B.S. Sidhu (Physicist) demonstrated various simulations to explain physics in innovative ways. Dr. Jaswinder Singh (Jaswin Lab on Wheels) known for his lab on wheels mesmerized the audience with his demonstrations. During the valedictory session, certificates were given to over 150 academicians, researchers & students from various institutions, making the convention intellectually vibrant & inspiring.

The Best Poster Presentation award were given to Km. Dharampreet Kaur

The Best Poster Presentation award were given to Km. Dharampreet Kaur, BUC, Batala in UG category, Km. Rajdeep Kaur, HMV, Jalandhar in PG category, Km. Harpreet Kaur, HMV, Jalandhar in Research Scholar Category, Mr. Pawanbir Singh, BUC, Batala in Faculty Category. Best Oral presentation award were bagged by Km. Palak, HMV, Jalandhar and K. Prerna, Hindu College, University of Delhi in UG Category, Km. Deeksha Kakkar, HMV, Jalandhar in PG Category, Mr. Vivek Mahajan, IKG PTU in Research Scholar Category and Km. Kritika, DMS, Model Town, Jalandhar in Faculty Category.

Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla said that the convention has created a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange & innovative thinking in the fields of physics, quantum science & artificial intelligence. She congratulated the convener of the Convention Dr. Sushil Kumar & Co-Convener Dr. Saloni Sharma, along with their team for successful completion of the event. On this occasion, all the faculty members of science departments were also present.
