Jalandhar February 8 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organised Fiesta-2026, its annual cultural extravaganza, with great enthusiasm under the dynamic leadership of Principal Dr (Mrs) Ekta Khosla. The vibrant fest brought the campus alive with a blend of colours, music, dance, fashion and entrepreneurial activities, highlighting the creativity and talent of students. The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the formal inauguration of the fest. The occasion was graced by Chief Guest Dr Anoop Kumar Vats, National Coordinator, DAVCMC, New Delhi, and Guest of Honour Sh. N. K. Sud, Vice President, DAVCMC, along with Sh. Kundan Lal Aggarwal, Dr Sushma Chawla and Mr Surjit Lal.
Welcoming the guests, Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla presented saplings and mementoes and stated that FIESTA–2026 aligns with the vision of ViksitBharat@2047, nurturing leadership, creativity, entrepreneurship and ethical values among students. Praising the institution, Dr. Anoop Kumar Vats applauded HMV’s distinct identity and described the fest as a meaningful step towards a developed and self-reliant India. He emphasized that such initiatives empower students with and open new avenues for innovation and self-reliance. The cultural programme featured a creative dance performance by Dr Sushma Chawla on Dil Hai Chhota Sa, Chhoti Si Aasha, blending grace with fitness.

Folk songs, folk dances and electrifying Punjabi performances by renowned singer Ravi Gill kept the audience enthralled. A major highlight of the fest was the fashion show, where students dazzled the audience with colourful and elegant attire. RJ Sandy and RJ Vikrant conducted the event with fun and frolic. The judges of the event were Ms Seerat Chawla, Head Anchor, ETV India; Ms Parveen Abrol, Social Worker; and Ms Jyoti Kaul. Srishti was crowned Ms FIESTA, while Nancy and Rhythm were declared first and second runners-up respectively.
The fest also featured a variety of student-run stalls offering jewellery, garments, grooming services, food items, education hubs, selfie corners and rangoli art. Students enjoyed shopping, food and recreational activities. Musical performances by Indian Idol contestant Kumar Vinay added further charm to the celebrations. The Chief Guest of the concluding session was the Mayor MCJ Mr Vineet Dhir. The guest of honour was Mr Deepak Bali, Advisor Tourism and Cultural Affairs. Punjabi singer Gurpreet Singh enthralled the audience with his lively performance and forced them to tune to his songs.
After prize distribution, the vote of thanks was presented by Dr Sangeeta Arora. The event was successfully organised under the guidance of Advisor Dr Seema Marwaha, overall In-charge Dr. Sangeeta Arora, co-incharge Dr. Ashmeen Kaur and Trade Fair In-charge Mrs Meenu Kohli. The programme concluded smoothly with efficient stage management by Dr Anjana Bhatia, Mrs Kuljeet Kaur, Mrs Binoo Gupta, Mrs Ritu Bajaj and Dr Ramnita Saini Sharda.
