Jalandhar January 23 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- All five schools of Innocent Hearts—Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt.–Jandiala Road, Noorpur Road, and Kapurthala Road—along with Innocent Hearts College of Education and Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions, Loharan, celebrated Basant Panchami with great enthusiasm and devotion. The festival marked the arrival of spring and paid obeisance to Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge and wisdom.
The celebrations witnessed active participation from students ranging from Kindergarten to college level, reflecting cultural unity across all campuses. At every campus, the programme began with a special assembly, where prayers were offered to Maa Saraswati, highlighting the significance of Basant Panchami and its values of harmony, wisdom, and learning.

Young learners enthusiastically participated in Yellow Platter activities, enhancing sensory learning and colour recognition. Creative kite decoration activities displayed students’ imagination through colourful, eco-friendly, and thematic designs, along with spreading awareness on “Saying No to Chinese Thread.”
A major highlight of the celebrations was the kite-flying competition organised for the students of Hotel Management, which added vibrancy and excitement to the event. The festivities reflected the theme “Harmony in Colours, Wisdom in Hearts,” leaving everyone enriched with joy and cultural values.
The student-teachers of Innocent Hearts College of Education celebrated the occasion under the theme ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat – Spring’s Arrival.’ Various competitions such as kite-flying, yellow culinary delights, and best out of waste were organised by the Cultural Club, encouraging creativity and environmental awareness among students.The celebration of Basant Panchami beautifully blended tradition, learning, and creativity, fostering cultural values and spiritual awareness among students.
