Rangoli and Slogan Writing Competitions Organised at Apeejay College of Fine Arts

Jalandhar January 22 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- On the occasion of National Voters’ Day, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organised Rangoli and Slogan Writing Competitions under the joint auspices of the Election Commission of India, the District Administration, and the District Election Office. Students from various colleges across Jalandhar district participated with great enthusiasm and zeal.

The primary objective of these competitions was to make students aware of the importance of their vote and to highlight that even a single vote can bring about positive change. Participants were required to present their creativity based on the theme of National Voters’ Day.

For the Rangoli Competition, the judging panel comprised Ms. Rajni Gupta, Head, Department of Design, Dr. Supreet Talwar, Head, Department of Economics and Dr. Monika Anand, Head, Department of Home Science.

Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar secured first position

In this competition, Divanshu Verma from Guru Nanak Dev University College, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar, and the team of Palak, Vansh, and Chahak from Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar secured first position. Yashita from B. R. Ambedkar College, Boota Mandi, Jalandhar bagged the second position, while the team of Yuvika, Samita, and Gurukamalpreet Kaur from Apeejay College secured third position. Muskan, Niharika Sharma, and Komal from Apeejay College received the consolation prize.

The Slogan Writing Competition was judged by Mr. Anil Gupta from Department of Applied Art and Mr. Vikram Singh. Chandan from ACFA secured the first position. Lionpreet Kaur and Shivani Rajak from B. R. Ambedkar College jointly won the second position while Pallavi from B. D. Arya College and Khushpreet Kaur from ACFA secured the third position. Shivalika Bansal and Pranjal Sharma from Apeejay College, along with Riya from B. D. Arya College, received the consolation prize.

Congratulating the winners, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra urged the students to remember the core purpose of these competitions. She encouraged them to exercise their right to vote responsibly and to inspire others by spreading awareness about the significance of voting in a democratic society.
