HMV successfully hosts NCW’s “Campus Calling” POSH Training Program

Jalandhar December 6 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla and the coordination of Dr. Anjana Bhatia, ICC Coordinator, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, hosted the prestigious “Campus Calling” POSH Training Program in collaboration with National Commission for Women. The landmark initiative was conducted with outstanding participation and immense enthusiasm. The event was enriched by the distinguished presence of Justice (Retd.) N. K. Sud, who presided over the programme and offered deep insights into legal protections and mechanisms ensuring women’s safety and dignity. Ms. Sana Kaushal, Media Head, NCW, addressed the gathering with impactful perspectives on communication, awareness, and women-centric outreach.

Campus Calling

The session featured a powerful Keynote Address by Mr. Ramawatar Singh, Principal Private Secretary, NCW, who highlighted NCW’s national efforts in strengthening POSH awareness and creating safer, more gender-sensitive educational spaces. Adding further prestige to the occasion, ADC Mrs. Navdeep Kaur attended as the Chief Guest, inspiring students with her dynamic and empowering words. Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla delivered a warm and heartfelt Swagat Address, welcoming all dignitaries and reaffirming HMV’s commitment to fostering an environment of respect, equality, and safety. Students presented impressive cultural programme Soulful Poem, vibrant Luddi and Folk Song.

Five Campus Ambassadors were also nominated

Five Campus Ambassadors were also nominated which included Himanshi, Pahul Jabbal, Kiran, Mohini and Kamalpreet. Dr. Anjana Bhatia, as ICC Coordinator, ensured meticulous planning and smooth execution of the entire program. The training included interactive activities, expert-led discussions, and awareness modules that strengthened students’ understanding of POSH guidelines, workplace ethics, and mechanisms of complaint redressal. With this landmark event, HMV once again emerged as a frontrunner in championing women’s empowerment, safety, and progressive campus culture across Punjab.

The event concluded with pledge ceremony and National Anthem. On this occasion Dr. Navroop, Dean Youth Welfare, Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dean Academics, Dr. Urvashi Mishra, Dean Student Council, Lt. Sonia Mahindru ANO, Incharge NCC, Dr. Rama Sharma, PRO, Dr. Rakhi Mehta, Dean Aesthetics, Mrs. Jyotika Minhas, Mr. Ashish Chadha, Mrs. Arvinder Kaur, Mr. Ravi Maini and all other teaching and non-teaching staff members were present.
