Jalandhar October 1 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Department of Mathematics of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council, organized a Guest Lecture titled “Career Acceleration in the Age of Innovation.”
The resource person for the session was Ms. Himanshi Bamotra, Software Quality Assurance Engineer (SQA Engineer) at Gallagher LLP, Chandigarh, and a proud alumna of the institution.
The primary objective of the lecture was to familiarize students with the diverse career opportunities available to those holding a degree in the sciences. Ms. Bamotra provided valuable insights into the various skill certifications that can enhance career prospects in the IT sector. She also shared essential strategies for crafting an effective resume and offered guidance on leveraging job platforms such as LinkedIn and Naukri.com. Additionally, she imparted crucial tips for acing job interviews. Ms. Bamotra explained these topics with clarity and depth, effectively addressing the rapidly evolving landscape of the IT industry.
President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Dr Pooja Prashar felicitated the department and the Cell for holding the session that was both informative and inspiring, equipping students with the knowledge to navigate the competitive job market.
