Jalandhar November 16 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar consistently makes efforts to preserve art and connect youth with it. It takes its inspiration from its Founder Chairman Dr. Stya Paul and continuous guidance of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia (President, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group; Chairperson, Apeejay Education, Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University) and Dr. Neha Berlia. Apeejay College provides a platform for the students and organizes such events for them through which students polish their skills and learn by watching the performances and experiences of renowned artists. Keeping the tradition alive, the play ‘Master Ji’ was successfully staged in the college with the joint courtesy of Jalandhar Skill Development Corporation and World Class Organization.
On this special occasion, Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal (Honorable Deputy Commissioner) was present as the Chief Guest and Mr. Deepak Bali (Advisor for Art, Culture and Languages, Government of Delhi) was present as Guest of Honour.
Dr. Sucharita Sharma (Director, Apeejay Education Jalandhar) and Dr. Neerja Dhingra (Principal, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar) warmly welcomed all the guests and while expressing their feelings, said that it is a matter of great fortune for students and teachers of our college that they shall witness the staging of such a famous play.
Mr. Deepak Bali, while inaugurating the programme, said that Apeejay College has maintained its distinct identity in the field of arts not only in Punjab but the entire India. Under the guidance of Dr. Sucharita Sharma and Dr. Neerja Dhingra, college has been touching new heights in the field of youth festivals. He added that Rana Ranbir is a renowned actor, writer, director who is a good human being at the same time and is known for his distinct personality.

The play ‘Masterji’ written by Rana Ranbir and Jaswant Zafar has been staged 90 times in in India and abroad till date and had been staged for the 91st time at Apeejay College. It is worth mentioning that this drama has been staged in 11 different countries – London, Toronto etc.
In this drama directed by Rana Ranbir, it reflects the problems of life and how with humour, laughter and positive thinking; one can move ahead. The drama, performed by Rana Ranbir and Rajveer Boparai also talks of parent-child relationship, teacher-student relationship, husband-wife relationship, and how social media has made man its slave. The play highlights the solutions of these everyday things with the inculcation of humour. This drama shows the importance of relationships in life and also gives the message that patience is the key to success.
