World Environment Week

Jalandhar June 10 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- HMV Environment Club and PG Department of Zoology of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized a series of activities in collaboration with the HMV Alumni Welfare Association (Regd.) to mark World Environment Week, under the visionary guidance of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla. The event aimed to create awareness among students about environmental conservation and sustainable living. A Slogan Writing Competition and Nature Photography Competition were organized on the theme of  “Inspired by Nature. For Climate.

For our Future” Students participated enthusiastically and showcased their creativity through thought-provoking slogans and beautiful photographs highlighting the beauty of nature, biodiversity and the need for its preservation. On this occasion, an online Quiz was also conducted to enhance students’ knowledge about environmental issues, biodiversity conservation, climate change, and sustainable practices.

Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla appreciated the efforts of the Environment Club and PG Department of Zoology, for organizing meaningful activities that inspire environmental awareness and action. Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dean Academics and Head of PG Department of Zoology, emphasized the crucial role of young minds in protecting biodiversity and conserving natural resources. Dr. Sakshi Verma, Incharge and Mr. Ravi Kumar, Co-Incharge, Environment Club, coordinated the event, ensuring the successful execution of all activities and encouraging enthusiastic participation among students.
