Jalandhar June 25 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, which has made a distinct identity in the field of sports, was the venue chosen by the Punjab Sports Department to organize football and handball trials for boys and girls for the session 2024-25. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Dean Sports Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, Selection Committee Members and Coaches introduced themselves to the football players. About 200 sportsmen and players from Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, DAV College Jalandhar, Mohan Lal Uppal DAV College Phagwara, Sikh National College Banga and Khalsa College Amritsar participated in these trials.
In the football selection committee Mr. Pradeep Kumar, from Phagwara and Mr. Harjitpal from Mahalpur and in the handball selection committee Mr. Kulwinder Singh from Dosanjh Kalan and Mr. Jaswant Singh from Amritsar were the selectors from Punjab Sports Department. He said that the lists of selected players will be sent to the Punjab Sports Department and the final list of players will be issued by them.
Diet, sports equipment and other facilities will be provided by the Punjab government to the players selected in the sports trials. The coaches of various institutions, Mr. Kuldeep Singh Deep, Mr. Manjit Singh, Mr. Daljit Singh, Prof. Sorav Kumar, Mr. Harinderjit Singh, Mr. Dhanwant Kumar, Mr. Varundeep and Mr. Amrit Lal Saini were also present on this occasion.
