Jalandhar January 11 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- On the second day of 7 day NSS Camp – SAPTVARN, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, the NSS Volunteers along with their respective teachers visited Dhudiyal. The entire day was dedicated to creating Digital Literacy & Cyber Awareness. Dr. Jagmohan Mago, Associate Professor of Department of Computer Science and IT gave a lecture to the villagers and discussed with them in details about the necessary security that people must take.

He emphasized that one must enusre never to share their Personal bank details, OTPs with anyone. Also, they must not fall prey to the fraudulent calls and make everyone aware about the scam alerts and report it immediately. Also, a rally was conducted to create the Awareness about the same.

On the 3rd day of the camp, the NSS team visited Kandhala Guru village and organized a Health check up camp where the general health as BP, glucose level and weight etc. was checked. Dr. Neeraj Katyal, Assistant Professor, Department of Physiotherapy was the main spokesperson of the day. In the medical camp, he guided the local villagers about their health. He emphasized that diet plays a crucial role in health and that is why one must make it a point to make healthy choices when it comes to having meals. He also put forth that diabetes and obesity are the diseases which are increasing these days. So, one must enusre to take the necessary precautions.

A rally was also organized to create awareness about drug abuse and its harmful effect not just on the well being of a person but on the family and ultimately the society as a whole.

Also, 1 ₹ stall was organized to distribute old clothes to needy people in the villages and a play titled – ZEHAR was enacted with the theme creating awareness about plastic waste

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra admired the students and acknowledged the efforts of Ms. Chetna Sharma, Ms. Komal, Ms. Rachita Jain and Mr. Kunj for guiding the students to do productive activities in the camp and making them understand their responsibilities towards the society.
