Jalandhar February 1 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The ‘Economics Forum’ of Department of Economics of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, showed the live budget to the students of BA, BSc. (Economics), B.Com. and BBA.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, expressed her views on the significance of budget. She said that, “Here at Apeejay, we ensure that students understand the essential nuances of the degree they are pursuing. For the students of Economics, B.Com and BBA, it is must for them to understand the economical activities of their nation and the Financial budget of the nation certainly highlights the same.

Some facts were shared by Mrs. Nirmala Sita Raman (Finance Minister) like promoting medical tourism in India, development of the North – East region, promoting the making of sustainable and intelligence developing toys, building a labour intensive sector so that more and more people get employment, promoting large, micro, medium and small industries and entrepreneurships. Also, the government has decided that it will increase funding in IITs and IISC so that the talented youth of the country gets the best education and lead the country on the path of progress. In the year 2025 – 26, efforts will also be made to increase the infrastructure of various sectors in the country.

Dr. Supreet Talwar, Head, Department of Economics did Career Counselling of the students and shared where the livelihood opportunities were higher as per the budget.

Dr. Dhingra appreciated the efforts of Dr. Talwar for organizing this activity for students.
