Jalandhar April 18 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Students of Heritage Club celebrated ‘World Heritage Day’ with great pomp in all the five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Nurpur Road, Cantt-Jandiala Road and Kapurthala Road). Many activities were organized on this occasion. Ambassador of Heritage Club told that the purpose of conducting these activities is to make students aware for the conservation of historical and cultural sites related to human civilization.
On this occasion, students of Heritage Club gave complete information about the Indian monuments and cultural sites of the country to the students of Grade I and II through power point presentation. Inter-house extempore competition was conducted for the students of grade V. The modeling was presented by the students of grade VI, which stole the show. Activities were organized for students of grades VI to VIII under the theme ‘Sada Gaurav, Sanda Virsa’, showcasing Punjabi culture, in which students presented poems on Baisakhi festival and sang folk songs depicting Punjabi culture.
The students gave a very captivating presentation of Punjab’s folk dance Gidda and Bhangra, the students proved to keep their culture alive. In the classes, teachers told the students to keep the country’s heritage clean and do not harm it, in this way, they can also make their important contribution in the development of the country.
