Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts learned technical aspects of radio presentation on ‘World Radio Day’

Jalandhar February 13 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar observed World Radio Day. On this occasion, students of Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication visited the office of Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM and learnt about the technical details and the process of live presentation on radio.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra presenting her views on this subject said,”Students are able to understand the practical aspects when they are given such exposures and platforms. A visit to the office of Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM surely adds up and helps them to understand the topics in the curriculum more effectively. Also, this helps them to figure out if they have the potential and interest in this field and would like to become RJ in future.

RJ Hina, Shubham, Promo Producer Bharat Arora divided the students into small sections and gave them detailed information about the technical aspects that go into the background of a radio presentation and told them how to speak on the mic while doing a programme on radio. They also taught them about the clarity of voice and handling the mic.

Dr. Dhingra appreciated the efforts of Dr. Nivedita Khosla and Mr. Mohit for guiding the students and inspired them to keep up with the good work.
