Jalandhar August 22 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Red Cross Society of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya in collaboration with Inner Wheel Club of Jalandhar West organized a seminar on “Breast Feeding and Vaccination.” The Resource Person was Dr. Pooja Kapoor, Ortheopaedic Surgeon and President Rotary Club. Along with her members of Inner Wheel Club Ms. Ritu Chopra (Secy), Ms. Manisha Sikka, Ms. Kirti Gupta, Ms. Tejinder Kaur were also present. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed them with Green Planter. Tree Plantation was also done keeping in view the environment protection.
Principal Dr. Sareen said that the subject of the seminar is related to latest time and the future of girls can be secured by making them aware about such issues. Dr. Pooja Kapoor gave information to the girls about Breast Feeding and Vaccination. She said that such information will prove to be beneficial for the girls in future. Dr. Pooja Kapoor said that breast milk is best diet for a child which provide all the necessary nutrients.
Breast feeding is also beneficial for the mother. Breast milk has Protein, Vitamins, Minerals and all the nutrients. It also saves the child from a number of diseases. Advisor Red Cross Society Mrs. Deepshikha presented vote of thanks. On this occasion, Incharge Red Cross Society Mrs. Pawan Kumari and College Medical Officer Dr. Jasbir Kaur were also present.
