Proud moment for Innocent Hearts: Alumni Sub Lieutenant Saksham Gupta commissioned as an officer in the Indian Navy

Jalandhar May 27 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Innocent Hearts School alumni Sub–Lieutenant Saksham Gupta commissioned as an officer in the Indian Navy and granted permanent commission in the Indian Navy on 25 May 2024 – are proud moments for Innocent Hearts. This year only 4 were selected from Punjab and only 1 (Saksham Gupta) from Jalandhar. The Passing Out Parade was held at Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala. The parade was reviewed by Chief of Air Service, Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary, PVSM AVSM where Sub Lieutenant Saksham Gupta was granted permanent commission in the Indian Navy.

Sub Lieutenant Saksham Gupta, a resident of New Jawahar Nagar, his father Mr. Ajay Gupta, a business man, mother Mrs. Bharti Gupta is the Head of Department of Mathematics at Innocent Hearts School and sister Tanusha Gupta is in 11th class, she is also a brilliant student of the school like him. Sub Lieutenant Saksham Gupta completed his secondary education from Innocent Hearts School, Green Model Town, Jalandhar and was then selected to undergo training for two years at the state government institute Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute, Mohali, Punjab. He cleared the UPSC-NDA exam and SSB interview in his first attempt and secured AIR- 274.

Thereafter he joined Indian Naval Academy and successfully completed 4 years of rigorous military training and B.Tech degree. On POP’s Divine Day he expressed special thanks to his instructors at FPI.

On this occasion Principal of the school Shri Rajeev Paliwal and Deputy Director Cultural Affairs Smt Sharmila Nakra congratulated Sub Lieutenant Saksham Gupta and his parents on his achievement.

Chairman of Innocent Hearts Dr. Anup Bowry said that he is proud that Sub Lieutenant Saksham Gupta has been a student of Innocent Hearts. He congratulated him on his great success and wished him a bright future.
