Jalandhar September 10 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- In a heartfelt ceremony at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), the book “Prakash: The Light Eternal“, authored by Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, was officially released by Sh. Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal.. This book, dedicated to the memory of her mother, Mrs. Prakash Sharma, is a moving tribute to an iconic teacher and a revered figure whose life continues to inspire many.
The event was graced by eminent personalities from various fields, a large student body and the family members of Mrs. Prakash Sharma, all gathered to celebrate the launch of a book that highlights the spirit, strength, and wisdom of Mrs. Prakash Sharma. Sh. Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal was the chief guest for the event.

Prof. Dwivedi, spoke emotionally during the event, sharing how writing this book was not just a scholarly endeavor but a personal mission to honor her mother’s life and legacy.
She emphasized that “Prakash: The Light Eternal” is more than just a book – it’s a chronicle of values, ethics, and the power of human endurance. Through intimate stories, photographs and personal anecdotes, the book paints a vivid picture of a woman who lived her life with unwavering dedication, not only to her family but to society at large.
She averred that the book captures the essence of Mrs. Sharma’s life, delving deep into her personal journey, resilienceand indomitable spirit that shone brightly even in the face of adversity. Prof. Dwivedi adumbrated that the title of this book has been given with the conviction that like her name, ‘Prakash’ (meaning light), Mrs. Sharma not only lived a brilliant life but has left behind a glowing trail, a treasure of lustre and sunlight to ever turn towards, dispelling any dark shadows in life, for all whose lives she touched.
The book has been divided into three sections
The book has been divided into three sections. The first section contains twenty chapters and highlights the various aspects of life of Mrs. Sharma and her close family. The second section contains poems penned by Mrs. Sharma. The third and the last section titled, “Prakash Through the Lens of Family & Friends” in which the students, family friends has contributed to express their heartfelt feelings for the iconic figure. The book release took place in the presence of Sh. Chander Mohan, also a former student of Mrs. Prakash Sharma.
He lauded Prof. Dwivedi for her remarkable work & highlighted the significance of preserving life stories that carry timeless messages for the younger generation, encouraging them to draw inspiration from lives that exemplify service, wisdom and sacrifice. He further said that Prof. Dwivedi has beautifully encapsulated the essence of a woman who was not only a beacon of hope for her family but for everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

It is pertinent to mention that a newly constructed auditorium at KMV was also dedicated to Mrs. Prakash Sharma by her name as a significant endowment for the same has been made by Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi and her family.
