Jalandhar November 19 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- PG Department of Computer Science and IT held ‘Internal Hackathon Event 2023’. It was organised for the students to familiarise them with the process of generating software solutions to real-world problems and discovering hacks to implement it.

The competition was aimed to provide an open platform for students to express their views to introduce new techniques, standards, or personal programming styles to progress on projects.

Six teams actively participated in the event.

Two problem statements were presented by the students under the theme ’Student Innovation’ namely Travel and Tourism and Fitness & Sports.

Judges of the event, Mrs. Shivani Sharma, Ms. Annie Ahuja, and Ms. Sapna Thakur evaluated students on their insight and understanding of their topic selection, clarity, creativity, technical complexity, commercial viability, social impact, etc.

Two teams were nominated by the judges. One from each problem statement for Smart India Hackathon 2023.

Addressing the students, one of the judges of the event Mrs. Shivani Sharma motivated the participants. She also added that the students should channelize their energy in the right direction and establish themselves successfully in their careers.

President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice-President Shri Vinod Dada, the honorable members of the Managing Committee, and the worthy Principal Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Prashar appreciated the efforts of the department of Computer Science for successfully organizing the event aimed at promoting creativity and networking in society.
