Jalandhar November 18 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The vibrant spirit of sportsmanship and athletic excellence reached its pinnacle as PCM SD secured the most-sought after Overall Trophy at the 53rd GNDU Athletics Meet 2023-24 held at GNDU, Amritsar. Hammer Throw, Triple jump, 100m hurdle, High jump, 20Km walk, Long jump, 5000m race, Pole vault, Discus throw, Half marathon, Javelin throw, 1500m race, 4×100m relay and Heptathlon were the numerous sports activities held and it is a matter of utmost pride that the college made it to first position in thirteen games and competed with ten other colleges.
The college community rejoiced in the resounding success, applauding the remarkable achievements of our athletes and the collective dedication of the Department of Sports that led to this triumph which is not only a testament to individual brilliance but also highlighted the strength of team unity. President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Prashar felicitated the achievers since the Overall Trophy is not just an accolade but a symbol of the college’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who excel both academically and athletically.
