Jalandhar July 30 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- PCM Collegiate Senior Secondary School for Girls, Jalandhar held a Freshers’ party entitled ‘Navodaya 2025-26’. The chief guest of the function was Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar. Lighting of the lamp was done by Principal, Head of the Collegiate Block, Mrs Sushma Sharma and other staff members.
The event was held for the freshers students of the session 2025-26. It began with Group Bhajan where students delivered a mesmerising and sacred musical notes. Students also participated in modelling with unparalleled zest and zeal. They also gave stunning performances in the form of dance and song.
The judges of the first round were Dr Sugandhi Bhandari, Assistant Professor, Department of Dance and Mrs Aabroo Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of English. The judges of the second round were Mrs Kawaljit Kaur, Assistant Professor, Department of History and Mrs Shveta Mahajan, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics and the judges of the third round were Mrs Alka Sharma, Associate Professor, Department of Commerce and Management and Dr Divya Budhia Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics.
The modelling results for session 2025-26 are as follows:
Raghvi of +1 Arts was made ‘Ms Freshers’, Tanvi of +2 Arts bagged the title of ‘Ms Elegant’ and Srishty was given the title of ‘Ms Gorgeous’.
The title of Best Hair Style was awarded to Amrit of +1 Commerce, Sofia of +1 Arts was given the title of Best Dress. Anjali of +2 Medical got the title of Best Accessory, Akriti of +1 Non Medical got the title of Best Smile. Piyunshika of +2 Medical bagged the title of Best Makeup and Manyata of +2 Commerce received the title of Best Catwalk.
President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Dr Pooja Prashar lauded the efforts of the Collegiate Block and its Incharge Mrs Sushma Sharma in organising such an event in welcoming the new students to the portals of the institution.
