Jalandhar January 20 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- NSS Unit, Swami Vivekanada Studies Centre and Department of Fine Arts celebrated National Youth Day at PCM SD College for Women under the able tutelage of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Prashar.
The event was a tribute to the ideals and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, emphasizing the importance of youth in nation-building. Various activities were organized to connect and mold the thinking of the present young generation according to the ideology of Swami Vivekananda ji. Poster making and Speech competitions were conducted. On this occasion, NSS Program Officers Mrs. Sunita Bhalla and Mrs. Manmeet Kaur discussed how today’s young generation can evolve their thinking by taking guidance from Swami ji’s dynamic personality to embrace values of resilience, compassion, and selfless service.
Members of Swami Vivekanada Studies Centre, Dr (Mrs) Neena Mittal, Mrs Kawaljit Kaur, Dr (Mrs) Indu Tyagi and Ms Anita also witnessed the event.President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other honorable members of the management and Principal Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar appreciated the endeavours of the both NSS and Swami Vivekanada Studies Centre in providing a platform to nurture the spirit of youth, promoting holistic development and instilling a sense of purpose and responsibility among the participants.
