Jalandhar March 23 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar commemorated Shaheedi Diwas with a heartfelt homage to martyrs Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar, and Shivaram Rajguru. Various activities, including a Cycle Rally, Patriotic Song Singing, Poetry Recitation and a special play performed by NCC Cadets, were organized to honor the sacrifices of these freedom fighters.
The NCC Department orchestrated a Cycle Rally, symbolizing the indomitable spirit of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru. Concurrently, the Youth Club collaborated with the Department of Music to curate a stirring Patriotic Song Singing event, resonating with the valor and patriotism epitomized by Bhagat Singh.
Additionally, the Department of Punjabi orchestrated a Poetry Recitation, eloquently showcasing the enduring legacy of Bhagat Singh through verses and literary homage. The addition of a play performed by NCC Cadets added another dimension to the homage, portraying the heroism and sacrifice of the Shaheeds to a captivated audience.
In her speech, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Prashar emphasized the importance of understanding the unyielding spirit of Bhagat Singh and his associates, who stood firm against colonialism, preserving the dignity of their motherland.
President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, and other honorable members of the managing committee echoed the sentiment, stating that icons like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev will continue to inspire generations to strive for freedom.
