Jalandhar August 8 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The PG Department of Fashion Designing of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, successfully organized the “Waste to Wealth Innovation Challenge: Panel Discussion with Innovation & Start-up Ecosystem Enablers” with the objective of fostering creativity, sustainability, and entrepreneurial thinking among students.
The event encouraged participants to transform discarded and waste materials into innovative, useful, and marketable products. Participants showcased a wide range of creative products prepared from recyclable and rejected materials, including home décor items, utility products, fashion accessories, organizers, eco-friendly gift articles, and decorative pieces. Outstanding entries in the challenge were recognized and felicitated with prizes and certificates in appreciation of their exceptional creativity.
President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Dr Pooja Prashar appreciated the efforts of the Department in providing students with a platform to explore innovative ideas and develop sustainable solutions. The initiative reflected the intent to continue transforming creative ideas into meaningful and marketable innovations.
