PCM S.D. College for Women Organizes Seminar on Drug Abuse

Jalandhar October 24 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar organized a Seminar on Drug Abuse in collaboration with the S. Ajit Singh Foundation Society under the aegis of the Punjab Government, in association with the Youth Club and Buddy Program of the college.

The keynote speakers for the seminar were Mrs. Rekha Kashyap (Sports Director, District Special Olympic Association, and Associate Member of Ajit Singh Foundation) and Mrs. Ramanpreet Kaur (President, Ajit Singh Foundation Society). Both speakers interacted with the students and motivated them to lead a healthy and meaningful life free from the menace of drugs.

Mrs. Rekha Kashyap, an alumna of the college, presented a short skit highlighting the destructive effects of drug addiction, which left a profound impact on the audience. In her message, she emphasized that if someone commits a mistake unknowingly, it should not be concealed, as hiding the truth can worsen the situation. Instead, one should seek guidance from parents and elders to avoid negative consequences.

Dr. Neena Mittal extended heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Ramanpreet Kaur and Mrs. Rekha Kashyap for their valuable contribution and shared some fond memories of Rekha’s student life at the college. In turn, Mrs. Kashyap shared her motivating life experiences with the students.

The event was organized under the guidance of Dr Neena Mittal, Mrs. Gurjit Kaur and Dr. Simarjit Kaur, Incharges of the Youth Club and with the active participation of the Buddy Group members.

President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other honourable members of the Managing Committee, and the worthy Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar appreciated the commendable efforts of the organizing team for spreading awareness against drug abuse and inspiring the youth to build a responsible and drug-free society.
