Jalandhar January 18 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, through its SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) Group, organised a vibrant poster-making competition themed “Vote Today for Better Tomorrow” today to promote electoral literacy and democratic values among students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students expressing their views on the importance of voting through creative and thought-provoking posters.
The competition also aims to encourage informed voting and enhance voter turnout, especially among the youth. Participants showcased innovative designs highlighting the power of every vote in strengthening democracy and shaping a better future.
The event was coordinated under the guidance of In-charge Dr. Lovely Sharma, along with Ms. Ritu Kumari and Ms. Jaswinder Kaur, who also extended a formal vote of thanks to all participants. They emphasised that such activities play a crucial role in nurturing civic sense and responsibility among young voters ahead of upcoming elections.
President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other honourable members of the Managing Committee, and the worthy Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar congratulated the SVEEP team and participating students for successfully organising the competition and lauded the initiative for actively engaging youth in the electoral process and promoting democratic awareness.
