Jalandhar January 25 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The SVEEP Group, in collaboration with the Department of Political Science at PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, organized a series of activities to mark National Voter’s Day with the objective of raising awareness about the importance of voting. The event featured an oath ceremony in which students and faculty members pledged to uphold their electoral responsibilities and actively participate in the democratic process.
To further sensitize students about their voting rights and responsibilities, a voter awareness rally was organized within the college premises. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who carried placards and banners highlighting the significance of voting in a democracy. The initiative aimed to empower young voters by educating them about the pivotal role they play in shaping the future of the nation.
The Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Prashar, emphasized the importance of voter awareness among youth and encouraged students to become responsible citizens by exercising their right to vote diligently. She reiterated that an informed electorate is the cornerstone of a successful democracy and urged students to spread awareness among their peers and communities.
