Jalandhar October 25 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, has always been committed to the all-round development of its students, which is why its learners continue to achieve great heights. To mark the beginning of the new session, various departments of the college organize welcome events for their new students. Continuing this tradition, the Department of Commerce organized a splendid event to warmly welcome the first-semester students. The main objective of this program was to acquaint the newly admitted students with the academic, cultural, and social environment of the college. Principal Dr. Navdeep Kaur graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

In her address, she emphasized that the aim of education at Lyallpur Khalsa College is not merely academic excellence but also the personal and holistic development of students. She encouraged the newcomers to make the most of the opportunities offered by the college. A vibrant cultural program was presented to welcome the new batch. Thereafter, the students were introduced to various aspects of the college. The Deans and In-charges of different departments and co-curricular activities shared detailed information about the college and its initiatives.

Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, Head of the Department , motivated the students to set clear goals and work consistently to achieve them. At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Raminder Kaur Bhatia proposed a vote of thanks. On this occasion, Prof. Amita Shahid, Prof. Ravneet Bains, Prof. Vivek Mahajan, Dr. Ubique Bedi, Dr. Navdeep Kumar, Prof. Manish Goel, Dr. Jyoti Vohra, Prof. Vineet Gupta , Prof. Keeratpreet Kaur and Prof. Harpreet Kaur, and other faculty members were also present. The students were informed about the rich history of the college and its various initiatives for student welfare. To welcome their juniors, senior students gave lively performances of folk songs and dances, creating an atmosphere filled with joy and enthusiasm.
