Jalandhar July 20 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Orientation programme was organised by the Department of physiotherapy of Apeejay college of Fine Arts, Jalandhar to equip the new entrants with the skills to navigate their years in the college in a more productive fashion. In a session conducted by Dr Neeraj and Dr Nitika, the students were told that the faculty members as well as the visiting faculty had many years of experience and therefore they would try to ensure that the students gained the maximum from their expertise.
The students were also made familiar with the different activities which would be conducted by the department over the years. Apart from this, these students were enlightened with the brilliant career prospects that would unfold after graduation. The faculty members shared with the students that the department takes the students on a regular basis to hospitals. The students also learned about the very successful OPD that is run by the department.

The Department of Physiotherapy has hospital tie ups and conduct conferences and workshops where experienced resources persons from these hospitals enlighten the students about the different nuances. Furthermore, World Physiotherapy Day and Blood Donation Camp are a regular feature of the department. Similar activities such as poster making to create awareness are conducted by the department on a regular basis. The Department of Physiotherapy also has excellent placement records.
This apart, Dept of Computers and IT and Dept of Multimedia had parallel Orientation sessions for their students. The session for IT professionals was conducted by Dr Roopali Sood and Dr Jagmohan Mago. The session for multimedia students was conducted by Mr Varinder Saggu and Mr Ankiit. Addressing the students of the different streams, Dr Neerja Dhingra, Principal of the college said that in the present times, physiotherapy offers very lucrative career opportunities to the students of Physiotherapy. She said that IT sector and Multimedia are exceedingly competitive fields. She motivated all the students to be dedicated and sincere towards their career choices.
