Jalandhar February 3 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, continue to bring pride to the institution through their consistent participation and remarkable achievements in academics, sports, and cultural activities. Carrying forward this tradition of excellence, Sahil Chawla, an NSS volunteer from the B.Voc. E-Commerce and Digital Marketing programme, represented the college with distinction by participating in the Republic Day Parade on 26 January under the NSS Marching Contingent at Kartavya Path.
Significantly, only two boys from Punjab were selected for this prestigious national parade. During his stay in Delhi, Sahil was also honoured with a rare and enriching opportunity to interact with the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, and the Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Shri Mansukh Mandaviya.
Adding a vibrant cultural dimension to the celebrations, Sahil also performed Bhangra, gracefully showcasing the rich and dynamic cultural heritage of Punjab on this esteemed national platform.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated Sahil Chawla on this outstanding achievement and expressed immense pride in his dedication, discipline, and spirit of service to the nation. She wished him continued success and encouraged him to keep setting new milestones of excellence in the future. Dr. Dhingra also lauded the dedicated efforts and guidance of the Dean, NSS Wing, Dr. Simki Dev, acknowledging her pivotal role in mentoring and shaping this remarkable accomplishment.
